Weather Phrases
Está nublado. - It's cloudy.
Está parcialmente nublado. - It's partly cloudy.
Hace buen tiempo. - It's good weather.
Hace calor. - It's hot.
Hace frío. - It's cold.
Hace mal tiempo. It's bad weather.
Hace sol. - It's sunny.
Hace viento. - It's windy.
Llueve. - It's raining.
Llovisna. - It's drizzling
Niebla. - It's foggy.
Nieva. - It's snowing.
¿Qué es el pronóstico para mañana? - What is the forecast for tomorrow?
¿Qué tiempo hace? - What is the weather like?
La temperatura es _____. - The temperature is ____.
Use of Weather Phrases in The Present
Use Hace with fresco, frío, viento, buen tiempo, mal tiempo, calor, and tormenta to state the weather.
Llover, Nevar, and Llovisnar are verbs. They can be used independently.
For rain or snow one would say: Nieva. (It's snowing.) or Llueve. (It's raining.)
Use of Weather Phrases in the Future (refer to the table below)
To tell what the weather will be like in the future, use
a form of IR + A + Infinitive.
