Fathers

We love them.

They help us through so much.
Like when we were afraid to get on our bike,
they’d give us that push and say “Hang on tight!”

They also believe in spending quality time.
Like when they say “grab a rake, come help me outside.”

They also give us good ideas,
like when we had nothing to do,
they’d always say, “Go clean your room.”

They believe in saving money.
When it’s time to go shopping,
they say “These pants look just like those,
your friends will never know.”

Have you guessed whom I'm describing?
I’m describing our fathers,
they have loved us since our birth.

They have a big job to do.
They are to nurture, guide, and discipline us.
But most importantly, to teach us to follow God too.

I thank God for all fathers.
They have hard jobs to do.
